From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Ip, and sp, were on IFR xc flight to kism. We were on RNAV 33

Approach to kism. Sp's approach and landing was normal. Sp landed on the centeline of the runway. On the landing roll, ip

Told the sp not to rush taxiing out of the runway on A2 and just exit on A3 instead. As the sp was trying to slow the airplane

Down by taxiway A2 using the brakes and aerodynamic braking to be able to taxi out of runway 33 onto taxiway A3, ip noticed

That the aircraft started veering to the right of the runway centreline. Ip called out to to sp to maintain directional control. But as

The airplane continuously turns to the right, ip took over the control of the airplane, and pressed on the left rudder and left

Brakes but there was no left control even on full rudder deflection and full brake depression. The airplane went to the right of the

Runway, onto the grass and the right main landing gear and the nose wheel hit 2 taxiway edge lights. Ip managed to get the

Airplane back onto the hard surface of taxiway A3 and cross the hold short line of runway 33 but the airplane would only turn

Right. Ip brought the airplane to a stop on the right side of A3. Ip contacted kism ground control and told them that we lost

Directional control of the airplane with left rudder and brakes and hit a couple of taxiway lights and that we were unable to taxi

Any further. Ip adviced ground controller that we would to contact the flight school for further instructions. Ip and sp shut the

Aircraft down and the aircraft got towed for inspections and repairs. Kism tower took ip's name, phone number and address for

Further information.

AIRCRAFT DOWN AND THE AIRCRAFT GOT TOWED FOR INSPECTIONS AND REPAIRS. KISM TOWER TOOK IP'S NAME, PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS FOR
