From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed geu and had been flying for approximately 45 minutes. During his return flight from cgz to geu, at an altitude of 3500FT, the engine began running rough. The pilot checked both his mags for proper operation and determined they worked. He was preparing to land at hacienda air park located in Laveen Arizona. Due to having seconds to assess the lz prior to safely landing the aircraft, the pilot decided to land the aircraft in the desert. During landing, the aircraft came in contact with rough terrain and hit a bob-wire fence flipping the aircraft over. Aircraft received substantial damage.
