From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On November 18, 2021, at approximately 1630Z, the PIC, on a 14 CFR part 91 flight from farmers pride airport (9N7) to Dee Jay Airport (8PA1), attempted to land at 8PA1 runway 9. During approach to the airfield, a wind out of the east prompted the PIC to make the decision to land on runway 9. Inspection of the aircraft and the crash site revealed, on landing, the tail of the aircraft struck a 4 foot high pole with a bird house on top. The impact with the bird house caused the aircraft to pitch nose down and make contact with the ground approximately 25 feet short of the runway threshold. The main landing gear collapsed causing substantial damage to the airframe.
