From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

Statement from pilot:

On the morning of the 20th of January, I departed klzu at approximately 12:15 am with cargo to be delivered to khnz. I arrived at khnz at approximately 1:15 am.

I shut down and unloaded the cargo that I was delivering. After unloading and doing my post flight walk around inspecton the exterior of the aircraft. This includes the prop and engine intake area, exterior flight control surfaces , and landing gear assemblies. I started the aircraft and commenced taxiing out to runway 24. As I was taxiing off the ramp and making the turn to runway 24 on taxiway alpha, a coyote immediately appeared. I dodged the coyote, but went off the left side of the taxiway. I returned to the taxiway and checked to make sure the aircraft was steering fine as well as to determine if there was a flat tire. I tested the brakes, made sure aircraft roll out was straight and true, and performed the normal pre-takeoff steps before takeoff. I determined that the aircraft was in airworthy condition based on my pre-flight checks, run up checks and my experience flying the PC-12 known for rugged and operations on unimproved fields. I proceeded to the runway and departed for ktta. When I arrived at ktta, I shutdown and proceeded to do my post flight walk around. I looked at the left main landing gear and saw there was no damage and proceeded to the front of the aircraft where I found the damage to the prop.
