From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A statement from the pilot said that he was experiencing turbulance while on approach to runway 35 at the Paradise Skypark Airport. He said that as the aircraft descended through 300 feet AGL the descent became more rapid. At about 50 feet AGL the pilot applied full power but the aircraft was already too low and impacted the terrain. The pilot reported that there were no mechanical malfunctions. Witnesses reported that there was a strong crosswind at the time of the accident. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the propeller, cowling, nosegear, both wings, and the bottom of the fuselage.
