From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

privacy data omitted Was back-taxing on runway 18 (50 foot wide) at Cherry Ridge Airport (N30) for departure. She had completed pre-flight and run-up before entering the runway. The turn-around area was very small. She applied handbrakes (I do not have toe brakes) and power to facilitate a left-hand 180 turn. While turning, she saw a goose crossing the runway about 75 feet in front of the airplane. When she relaxed the turn to avoid the goose, her right main slipped off the runway which has approximately a 4? Edge. She felt she was sinking into the dirt so she applied more power. The plane veered to the right into brush and a swamp
