What happened

Pilot departed home airport with the intention of stopping at barnwell regional airport(bnl). The pilot was communicating with ATC and started descent into bnl. ATC called when he turned toward the airport with no response. The aircraft remained at 2300 feet passing over bnl. Aircraft continued at 2300 feet without communication and ended up in the ocean.

PILOT DEPARTED HOME AIRPORT WITH THE INTENTION OF STOPPING AT BARNWELL REGIONAL AIRPORT(BNL). THE PILOT WAS COMMUNICATING WITH ATC AND STARTED DESCENT INTO BNL. ATC CALLED WHEN HE TURNED TOWARD THE AIRPORT WITH NO RESPONSE. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED AT 2300 FEET PASSING OVER BNL. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED AT 2300 FEET WITHOUT COMMUNICATION AND ENDED UP IN THE OCEAN.
