From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This aircraft was landing on runway 15 at the kozs (Camdenton, MO) airport when the landing gear was not fully in the down land locked position. The aircraft contacted the runway surface and continued to land making contact with both propellers and sliding on the belly of the aircraft and flaps. The aircraft continued to slide before coming to a stop on the runway surface. The aircraft was recovered, upon recovery the aircraft was lifted and the battery master switch was turned on, at that time the landing gear operated and the gear moved to the down and locked position. In speaking with the pilot he stated that the gear was selected ?down? And he could feel the drag from when the gear extended and was able to see the nose landing gear in a mirror that was mounted the side of the engine cowl. He also stated he was able to see the ?green? Indicator representing the gear was down and locked, although he did stated that the cockpit was bright at the time and he had to ?cup? His hand around the light to see that it was illuminated. Upon examination of the aircraft it was noted that the right main landing gear strut was collapsed and damage noted on the bottom side of the wing reflected the landing gear being forced into the retracted position making contact with the aircraft structure. Photos provided by the pilot also reflect the aircraft sitting on the collapsed right main landing gear with the tire pressed against the bottom side of the wing.

As the FAA filed it
