From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N337B departs 8A7 at 1156 EDT with the intent of landing at keqy. During the flight the rear engine begins to sputter and run rough. The pilot attempts to troubleshoot the problem and during that process, he thought the front engine sputtered. The pilot decides to make a precautionary landing at the nearest airfield (28A).

While concentrating on safely getting the aircraft on the ground, he forgot to extend the landing gear. As the aircraft skidded down the runway, the pilot applied left rudder to slide towards and off the runway. The aircraft skidded approximately 300 ft. before coming to rest on the e side if rnwy 4/22.
