From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The morning privacy data omitted qualifying went on without incident. At 1630 local time privacy data omitted held a pilot meeting and stated the winds were too high for the stoldrag competition so the waivered event was canceled for the evening. privacy data omitted Also emailed the iic privacy data omitted a list of the pilots who qualified for the privacy data omittedevent, which was to take place on Saturday when the winds would be more favorable. Then privacy data omitted offered the pilots the opportunity to fly short takeoffs and landings (a non-waivered event) during the NOTAM period also known by the aviation community as privacy data omitted. This was voluntary only and only five aircraft at a time. This mitigated the risk of having too many airplanes in the air at any given time. This was done in a controlled environment and privacy data omittedwas on the radio with the pilots at all times. privacy data omitted Was on CTAF just in case anyone mistakenly did not read the NOTAMS and tried to enter the pattern from outside of the area. privacy data omitted Sent a few aircraft away which were not participating in the event over the course of two days.
