From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot admitted he must have hit brakes too hard after aircraft touched down because he felt the nose dip slightly, but nothing major. He said he didnt think the prop touched. He said he didnt feel any vibration while taxiing to hangar. He said he always does wheel landings instead of three-point because in DHC-2 aircraft, the tailwheel is the weakest part of the landing gear. After shutdown, he noticed prop damage. No other aircraft damage. No inuries. No passengers nor cargo, just an empty return leg after cargo delivery to mine. Pilot said winds were coming from all directions, except tailwind, but that they were light. No mechanical discrepancies before the incident. Ch doesnt have MEL. Pilot said he was not fatigued, rushed, nor had any personal stress as mitigating factors. Pilot said owner does not pressure him to do flights and that he has full authority to cancel flight if he doesnt feel comfortable with weather. Pilot said he was probably complacent.
