From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 7/16/2022 privacy data omitted was conducting night time touch and goes on runway 24 at lkr Lancaster Airport, SC. On the last landing, privacy data omitted initiated a short approach in which he forgot to lower the landing gear. He touched down, slid to a stop, and exited the aircraft. The pilot and sole occupant sustained no injuries. The aircraft damage appears to be minimal sraping on the belly, damage to the flaps and prop strike. Pilot stated during counselling that causal factors were him adding complexity to his training flight without preparring for it, and to fail to conduct a pre landing "gump" check. Also of note by the pilot, the gear horn on this aircraft was extremely hard to hear, as he says it sounds like wind noise.
