From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 28, 2022 at approximately 1215 local time, N719TF a Robinson R-44 helicopter was traveling east at an approximate altitude of 75 feet when it struck a public powerline while conducting agricultural aircraft operations. The helicopter impact severed the powerline resulting in a minor grass fire, and instability of the helicopter. The helicopter indicated a low RPM state and the pilot executed an emergency landing in a corn field approximately 660 feet east of the point of impact with the wire. The resulting emergency autorotation resulted in substantial damage to the helicopter. The pilot and sole occupant did not sustain any injuries. There was no post impact fire, or hazardous material spill.
