From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 30, 2022, at 1450 CST, a Beech 35 privacy data omitted, aborted take off on runway 36 at Star City Municipal Airport (55M) and overran the runway into the grass and briers at the north end which caused the nose gear to break and aircraft to flip over, damaging the ruddervators, nose gear and propeller, determined to be substantial damage. No injuries and 2 on board. A scheduled stop was made in Star City for gas from dayton oh to grand pririe TX while remaining south of a storm front. Upon arrival, they found there was no gas available (fuel was notamed out of service). The pilot was unaware of the NOTAM. They back taxied to the south end of field. The runway has an upslope first half and a downslope on the secound half. After passing the slight incline in the runway at around 60 knots, the PIC decided to abort the takeoff. The aircraft rolled off the end of the runway and traveled about 300 feet before flipping upside down. VMC conditions existed.
