From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

An Air tractor, model AT-502, departed from a private grass strip near Cheneyville, LA to conduct a 14 CFR part 137 aerial fertilizer application flight. The pilot was dispersing his last load of fertilizer on the west side of I-49 before the accident occurred. The aircraft, flying from west to east, started climbing as it crossed both north and south bound lanes of I-49. The aircraft continued to increase climb and appeared to roll over to the left, then spiraled down steeply to the point of impact onto the north bound exit ramp (exit 56).
