From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot flew the aircraft from the bradley sky ranch airport (95Z), to the Fairbanks intl. Airport (fai). The pilot was cleared to land on ski 20 (the gravel runway) from fai tower. The pilot stated she initiated a stabilized approach at 65 knots indicated airspeed on final approach. During the flare/round out for landing the aircraft ballooned (rose up in the air) and she responded by ?freezing? On the controls to let the speed bleed off. The ski 20 gravel runway is 2900 feet long. A witness stated that the aircraft touched down just prior to the v taxiway which is halfway down the runway, leaving about 1500 feet of runway left to stop on. The pilot said the aircraft continued down the runway but said the tail continued to rise unexpectedly and ended with the plane coming to rest inverted on the runway. Witnesses observed that the touchdown was normal with no control issues, after which the aircraft continued to pitch forward until the prop contacted the surface and it flipped over on its back. The pilot was not wearing the installed shoulder harness and sustained a minor head injury.
