From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During phase 1 flight testing landed hard on runway 22 with slight left crosswind. PIC elected to go around and witnesses saw that right gear did not fully extend when aircraft was on final again. Pilot went around again and another pilot in the pattern joined up on aircraft and confirmed gear was not fully down and locked. After using rudder movements to fully extend gear the other pilot reported gear was down and appeard to be locked. Aircraft landed and was rolling out when right and the pilot steered the aircraft the grass parallel to the runway when speed bled off to minimize damage.
