From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed kcl on 9/16/2022 enroute to a location near Chignik, AK (off airport) arriving at approximately 1100 AKDT. Pilot reports an uneventful landing into to the wind on a slight incline. Ground conditions were hummock/moss. While taxing /turning around downhill (rt wing down), the pilot proceeded to taxi to the desired location. Due to the rough ground, slight downhill, and a tail wind gust approximately 20-22 knots, picked up the tail of the aircraft and nosed over completely, prop to tail, causing significant damage to the vertical stabilizer and rudder, prop strike and significant damage to the wing struts.
