From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After a nominal takeoff and experimental (non-commercial) practice/testing package delivery operation, aircraft SN719 was on its return leg home and had transitioned into the vertical take off and landing (vtol) above the landing marker. As it descended, the oic received a series of system health alerts on the ground control station, the aircraft lost power, and fell over the landing marker. The drone sustained damage from the fall. No injuries or property damage were reported. The cause of the event is yet to be determined. The oic announced the off nominal to the crew, secured the scene, and proceeded with the accident response process.
