From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed tyr @ 1423. Climbed to approx. 5475 feet at 79 knots, iaw ADS-B data. Aircraft then accelerrated to 93 knots, began a descending RH turn, speed increased to gps-derived 134 knots with an average vertical speed of -3600 fpm. At that point, ADS-B derived lateral motion appears to have stopped, and the aircraft descent continued at approximately 4000 fpm. Aircraft impacted into lake palestine, approximately 10 feet from the shoreline into three feet of water, at a very high angle and high velocity. Impact occurred after approximately 7 minutes of flight.
