From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated at the time of the interview during the investigating. That the initial descent and traffic pattern to the airport for landing was normal. He proceeded to extend the landing gear for landing. Upon the extension, the landing gear extension bar was not fully locked into place for the landing. The pilot had intentions to later come back to the landing gear operation bar, and to fully lock it into place. Which would have locked the landing gear in the down position. Being busy with items before the landing. The pilot, failed to remember, and verify that the landing gear extension bar was locked for landing. Upon touch down, without the gear not being locked into place, the landing gear colapsed under the weight of the aircraft upon touchdown.

The pilot, nor the passenger in the aircraft, at the time of the event, recieved any injuries. Through investigation of the event, the pilots competence was not in question.
