From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On December 17, 2022, the aircraft nose gear failed to extend on approach from kmy to kflo. The pilot in charge (PIC) noticed failure of nose gear to extend. PIC verified power, procedures, checked circuit breaker and initiated emergency landing gear extension; emergency gear extension also failed. PIC landed the aircraft in a gear up configuration. Upon touchdown gear began to extend. No injuries reported. Minor damage to nose of airframe.

Initial analysis and inspection of aircraft and records could not determine probable cause and possible non-compliance. Report will be amended as new information becomes available.
