From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While on approach to runway 32 at X39 pilot advanced mixture in such a manner to cause the aircraft engine to lose power resulting in an emergency landing on a road near the airport. The area was experiencing unseasonally cold temperatures at the time and carbeurator ice to form. Upon landing the right win impacted a smalll tree on the shoulder of the road. After approximately one and one-half hours the pilot was able to restart the engine with no dificulties to taxi out of the traffic lanes.
