From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: flight plan was depart jackson hole arrive Hawthorne with lax as the alternate if needed. At 0053 PIC checked weather for hhr, calm no rain. Continued to hhr. Twenty minutes prior to arrival information uniform was current at 0153, calm no rain. Hhr twr issued ATIS special at 0219, nine minutes prior to landing. PIC noted stabilized approach with a ref speed of 109, aircraft flight manual (AFM) reference speed was 108. PIC noted there was no precipitation on the windscreen during arrival. According to pilot statement, touchdown was not what PIC expected it to be, and, if PIC had known about previous rain and or tailwind of 3 knots prior to landing PIC would have diverted. Tires were not gripping. Applied emergency brake and purposely induced a ground loop as a deceleration measure. PIC also noted hhr ATC did not provide current weather conditions during initial check in. PIC stated, accident could have been avoided if provided with current runway conditions.
