From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 3, 2023 a Cessna 525B taxied onto a frontage road while departing St George Regional. During this taxi the aircraft proceeded to hit several road signs doing damage to both leading edges of the aircrat's wings. No notificaton to the FAA about this incident.

On January 12, 2023 the aircraft maintenance coordinator applied for a ferry permit to move the aircraft from St. George Utah to wichita, KS for repairs. Coordinator was asked for pictures of the aircraft and it was then determined that the aircraft had enough damage to be called as an incident.

After temporary repairs by Cessna maintenance team, the ferry permit was issued for the ferry flight to Kansas.

Aircraft is now in maintenance.

Pilot said that the frontage road has no markings and runs parallel ti the taxiway. This is also detailed on the airport diagram, no markings for the road. Airport manager also stated that this has happened before. Pilot will have a counseling to close out.
