From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Bird strike on departure end of runway 17 at kbxk after a soft field landing. Event occurred above the cattle sheds just south of the runway. Pilot reported the following: after hitting bird we diverted back to goodyear being there were multiple planes in the pattern at Buckeye with more entering the pattern, while we notice no decreased performance from the airplane. On our way to goodyear we requested priority but didn’t declare an emergency with tower to remain in the air as little as possible. Pilot stated he was looking to the right out the window and started to turn to look back into the cockpit when he heard and felt the bird hit the plane. He stated the bird must have come up from underneath the right wing because he did not see it. He stated from his point of view the wing did not look bad and it was after he landed and was able to see the damage. The aircraft is in maintenance for repairs to the underside and upper le of the right wing.
