From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On February 8, 2023 at approximately 10:00 local time, aircraft privacy data omitted, a Cirrus SF50 aircraft, on a part 91 flight on an IFR flight plan with the pilot and one passenger landed at Waukesha County Airport, Waukesha, WI. The aircraft departed Waukesha County Airport at approximately 0950 local time. During departure the pilot reported a noise sounding like gravel hitting the gear. The pilot called the tower and informed them they were returning to the field. On the downwind leg the pilot reported the stall warning sounded and the stick pusher activated. The pilot held the auto pilot disconnect switch to cancel the pusher activation and the airspeed indicator showed 200+ knots. The pilot stated he did a short base final landing heavy and fast, bounced a couple of times then skidded off the runway 28. After landing the pilot found that the AOA cover was not removed before flight. The pilot and passenger were uninjured. The aircraft nose gear was folded back aft and making contact with the fuselage. The aircraft fuselage sustained damage from the nose gear cracking through the composite structure. No injuries were reported and VMC conditions prevailed at the time.
