From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon return to ktcy a standard left 45 pattern to runway 30 was initiated. Upon turning downwind the gear was selected "down". Gear indicator lights and visual observation (aircraft has a hd tv belly camera) show negitive nose gear function. Standard emergency checklist was used to work the problem, this included function of the emergency gear down system. The process did not correct the malfunction. A landing on the main gear was made in an attempt to "jar" the gear down but to no avail. Aircraft was then flown to an altitude safe for the conduct of a "dead stick" landing, which was performed on the inactive runway (calm wind day) without further issue. Radio communication was maintained with all ktcy aircraft traffic in the air and on the ground throughout the process. After the aircraft came to a stop and was determined to be in a safe condition, a radio transmission to that effect was made.
