From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed newport regional airport (M19) with PIC intent on conducting emergency procedures practice, specifically focused on short field landings, in the vicinity of Walnut Ridge municipal airport (arg). After the first landing and in configuring the aircraft for take-off, PIC moved landing gear selector lever to "up" position during departure roll prior to becoming airborne. As PIC applied engine power, landing gear began to retract and aircraft settled onto runway then slid to stop approx. 1/2 way down runway 4. No injuries, minor damage to aircraft.
