From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A training flight was conducted on March 3rd, from long beach to Camarillo. After landing safely at Camarillo Airport’s runway 26, the aircraft failed to complete a turn while exiting at taxiway charlie, resulting in aircraft privacy data omitted running off the taxiway. The twin-engine, Diamond aircraft’s left propeller struck a runway light.

Miscommunication between pilot and CFI resulted in a mismanagement of controls, which caused an aircraft excursion from the runway and the subsequent prop strike of runway lighting.

The pilot in command, seated in the left seat, was privacy data omitted, in the right seat was privacy data omitted, the CFI. The third occupant was privacy data omitted.

The aircraft is being repaired by privacy data omitted maintenance.
