What happened

During cruise flight the engine started to backfire and pop, PIC swithced fuel tanks with no improvement in performance. Engine stopped. PIC landed on a road in which he thought was clear, hitting power lines causing minor damage.

DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE ENGINE STARTED TO BACKFIRE AND POP, PIC SWITHCED FUEL TANKS WITH NO IMPROVEMENT IN PERFORMANCE. ENGINE STOPPED. PIC LANDED ON A ROAD IN WHICH HE THOUGHT WAS CLEAR, HITTING POWER LINES CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE.
