What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Landing on rw 35R, aircraft had been trimmed for wheel landing w/ 2 notches of flaps. On touch down centerline was maintained, as speed was being bleed off and was preparing to raise flaps, with the tail still in the air a gust of wind pushed the tail to the left, pilot corrected with aileron and rudder to compensate. Wing tip pilot side touched the rw and ac still had forward momentum and was headed directly for a large taxiway sign. Pilot used brakes and rudder to avoid sign but was unable to get off the brakes quick enough to avoid nose over.
