From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Kvpc privacy data omitted CFI and student instruction flight. During landing approach CFI and student slowed the aircraft to the appropriate airspeed 85KTS to deploy the first notch of flaps (10 degree's). During flap deployment, airspeed approximately 85KTS, our aircraft encountered right hand flap travel interuption. CFI took all control of aircraft and landed safely and uneventfully at kvpc Cartersville Georgia on 03/25/2023 at approximately 1200 EDT.

Ground inspection revealed right flap had traveled outboard in the flap tracks and jammed against the right aileron causing the flap to crease and buckle at the leading edge. Right inboard and outboard flap tracks and flap track rollers showed evidence of fatigue, stress, and excessive wear. Flap track rollers were seized.
