From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft departed Melbourne, Florida airport for lakeland, Florida airport and landed with no braking issues earlier in the day. The aircraft later departed lakeland for Melbourne. During landing at Melbourne, Florida airport on runway 9L at 1700 hours, the pilot noticed there was no brake pressure in the left brake. The pilot landed and could not turn left, due to lack of brake pressure. The pilot was able to turn right on the next taxiway and the aircraft slowed off the taxiway onto the grass with no damage to the aircraft. The runway excursion was caused by no brake pressure in the braking system. The pilot reported no injuries. The aircraft was towed to a maintenance facility. Maintenance determined the o-ring in the left brake assembly failed causing the hydraulic fluid to leak out of the braking system. The o-ring failure led to no brake pressure in the left side brake causing the incident. The o-ring was replaced and the aircraft has been returned to service.

As the FAA filed it
