From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot flew his drone in open space behind his home. The UAS pilot is low time and unexperienced. The pilot was performing maneuvers at the time of the accident. The strap for the battery pack broke causing the battery to become loose from the UAS. This caused the UAS to lose control and subsequently hit a neighbor's house. Further, the battery from the UAS hit an adjacent neighbor's house. Both of the events caused $4,450.00 in damage to the roof and house siding.
