From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed conway municipal airport (kcxw) at approximately 0900 CST, climbing to ~16,200 MSL enroute to texarkana, Arkansas to perform aerial survey. Once on station, low cumulous clouds prevented further collection, and the aircraft proceeded back towards conway municipal airport (kcxw). Shortly after, the pilot noted a gear unsafe "red light." All three landing gear appeared to be stowed, so the pilot recycled the gear handle then noted there was an issue due to the gear not cycling as usual. The pilot then performed the emergency gear dump memory item procedure followed by the checklist, with the nose gear coming down and locking, while the right main gear took about a minute and required slowing the aircraft and applying light g-force before indicating down and locked. The left gear did not come down, and the pilot was unable to extend it even with heavier g-loading. The pilot contacted ground personnel at conway municipal airport (kcxw) and was advised to divert to Searcy Municipal Airport (ksrc). The pilot performed a touch and go in an attempt to get the left main gear into place without success. The aircraft landed at Searcy Municipal Airport (ksrc) and sustained damage to the left lower fuselage and left propeller. Two persons on board with 0 injuries.

As the FAA filed it
