What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot stated he departed camarillo airport east bound and during cruise the engine sputtered with fluctuating fuel pressure. He elected to make an emergency landing on a dirt road however landed in the grass next to the road. During landing the LH main landing gear hit a rut or rock collapsing the LH gear resulting in the LH wing contacting the ground bending it at approximately mid-span. Also the propellor struck the ground, breaking off the tips.
