From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Nose and main gear collapsed after landing at North Perry Airport (hwo) runway 10R. After touch down, nose gear initially collapsed followed by both main gear. Damage sustained to engine, propeller and nose landing gear doors, minor damage on aircraft belly panels. No injuries to pilot, the sole occupant of the aircraft.

Damage was noted on propeller, engine and nose landing gear doors, minor damage noted on belly panels from contact with runway surface. Inspection found failure of truss assy, retracting p/n: 540016-505 located in the nose landing gear wheel well. Failure of this is consistent with causing the nose gear to collapse and subsequently both main gear to collapse under load.

As the FAA filed it
