From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 9, 2023 at 0608 MST, the PIC of privacy data omitted departed UT9 on a VFR flight to bce. The flight was uneventful and at 0750 the PIC began descent to runway 21. The sun was rising behind the aircraft casting long shadow in line with the runway. During final assent/touch down, the PIC believed the aircraft to be closer to the runway than what it actually was and after correction, impacted hard. This caused the aircraft to bounce on the main landing gear. The PIC struggled to recover and chose to apply full throttle in an attempt to become airborne and go around for another attempt. The aircraft became airborne; however, part of the landing gear and the propeller clipped the top of the bushes along the runway. The aircraft stalled and touched down in a nose down attitude impacting terrain with the nose and right wing before coming to a stop in the gravel. Both PIC and passenger were able to exit the aircraft without injury.

As the FAA filed it

ON JUNE 9, 2023 AT 0608 MST, THE PIC OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DEPARTED UT9 ON A VFR FLIGHT TO BCE.
