From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During liftoff from lake hood strip the pilot felt a “slight right jump.” on touchdown at the destination Talkeetna the pilot performed a wheel landing. The landing had no bounce and the aircraft veered immediately to the right on touchdown. The pilot corrected with left rudder and left brake and the aircraft responded with by turning left and departing the left side of the runway. On departure of the paved surface with a sideways path of travel, the right main landing gear wheel with a flat tire dug into the unpaved surface and caused the aircraft to tip onto the right wingtip. The aircraft came to a rest on the left of the paved surface on all three wheels.
