From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The uncertificated pilot was maneuvering looking for his rc aircraft that he had lost next to his private airstrip. After not finding rc aircraft the pilot elected to go on a downwind pattern for landing at his private airstrip. The pilot was low and slow in landing configuration flaps down. The pilot stated a gust of wind raised the right wing and he went to correct with right aileron control and the nose suddenly went down to the top of the tress. The pilot added full power but did not have enough altitude to recover and hit the top of the trees which caused the aircraft to fall thur the trees and come to rest nose first in the ground with tail in the air. The pilot got out of the aircraft without injury.
