From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On June 24, 2023 a Piper malibu, was taxiing to takoff at Animas airpark, between rows of parked aircraft. As the end of the row approached, he made his turn toward the runway, turning to early and contacting the spinner of the parked 172. Mechanic on field saw what happened and came to look at the incident. Damage to the malibu was a scrapped wing tip, mechanic looked atand said was airworthy, but a dent was present in the spinner.
