From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft departed A80 at 16:25 on an IFR flight plan and landed at krhp (Western Carolina regional) 16:56. The weather was provided by an AWOS-3 that reported 6 minutes prior to landing wind calm visibility 1.5 miles, rain, scattered clouds 900. 14 minutes after landing it was reported wind 270 9, 4 miles visibility , light rain and broken clouds at 2800. The runway was wet at the time of landing. The crew requested GPS 8- they were cleared for the approach at 16:51. The crew stated that the approach was normal and stabalized at the final approch fix. Both pilots reported they came over the fence at a ref speed of 130-132 KTS. And the touchdown was just past the runway numbers prior to the 1000 ft markers. The captain (pilot flying) applied brake pressure and used the thrust reversers.(tr's) the captain stated the first attpemt of using the tr's did not engage the system. After several attempts they began to engage. At this point the PIC reported using max breaking to avoid departing the end of the runway. The aircraft exited the end of runaway 8 an additional 350 ft into the grass. The aircraft did not hit anything and was not damaged. The aircraft was towed out of the grass to the runway and the captian started the aircraft and taxied it back to the FBO under it's own power. The plane was inspected including the gear and tr system per the gmm and was found to not have any issues with the tr's or other systems
