From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The powered parachute started its take-off roll from mid-field pilot applied full power to the aircraft the right side did not inflate immediatly, the pilot reduced power for a moment the right side inflated fully the pilot reapplied full power and continued down the runway, the aircraft did not climb as expected, the pilot attempted to fly between a light pole at the end of the runway and a tree that was across the street from the end of the runway, the left chute lines made contact with the light pole and caused the aircraft to "sling-shot across the road into the tree and fall down on the electrical lines where the aircraft came to rest. The pilot and passenger were injured and transported to the hospital.
