From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed cqf. During the takeoff roll the pilot felt a "jolt" as the aircraft suddenly jerked to the left. Pilot regained control and took off to its destination of mobile. (Mob) the pilot thought that he may have blown a tire on takeoff from cqf so requested a fly-by the tower at mob to check. Tower was unable to determine any damage to the tire, so pilot landed safely. Post inspection revealed damage to the tip of the propeller. Inspection of the runway at cqf found a hole and chunks of asphalt on the runway. It is believed that the propeller struck the asphalt during takeoff causing the sudden jerk to the left that the pilot expierenced during takeoff.

As the FAA filed it
