From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed K34 for C37, bordhead, WI. Climbed to approximatly 1000 ft AGL and headed south to avoid ixd airspace. After clearing ixd airspace the pilot experienced engine power issues described by the pilot as "missing on one cylinder". Pilot then turned to return to K34 initially able to maintain his altitude. After clearing ixd airspace, the pilot was beginning to lose altitude. Approximately .5 miles south of K34, the aircraft engine began running rough and quit. The pilot was unable to make it to K34 and chose an open area at a construction site to attempt a non-powered landing. The aircraft touched down and hit ruts in the ground and flipped over on it's back (wings).
