What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot departed on 18 from kukl and climbed to cruise altitude at which point he activated the autopilot direct to kixd. He then called the kixd tower from about 10 miles to the southwest and was instructed to report 4 miles southwest of kixd and expect the right downwind for 18. He then reported when 3.8 to the southwest after a brief wait for radio traffic to clear. At that point, the pilot disconnected the autopilot and began his descent to 2000 feet for the right downwind for 18. At the mid-field right downwind for 18, he called the tower and was cleared to land on 18. Somewhere during this time, a Cessna jet radioed that they were to the east of kixd and requested the RNAV 18 approach with the iaf at oguco. The pilot made his right base turn, then a turn to final and commenced the landing on 18. The tower cleared the Cessna jet to land behind his aircraft and instructed the pilot to make a left hand turn on to 4-22. After landing, as the pilot was taxing, he grazed the end of the runway and hit a runway light before turning back on to runway 4-22. The tower asked, if he stuck the runway lights and responded, that he had. The pilot taxied on bravo to the ramp at advanced aviation where he shut down the engine at approximately 11:30 am.
As the FAA filed it
THE PILOT DEPARTED ON 18 FROM KUKL AND CLIMBED TO CRUISE ALTITUDE AT WHICH POINT HE ACTIVATED THE AUTOPILOT DIRECT TO KIXD.
