From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Prior to departure from dsm on 3788 on 8/14/23 I checked the weather and noticed rain bands between dsm

And ord. At our preflight, the CA said there would be nothing serious, but maybe some bumps along the

Way. After in the air, the CA reported back two more times and said there was nothing serious, just a few

Bumps maybe. Since I had seen the rain bands I had already made the decision not to perform a service

Because of safety concerns, and there were some bumps in flight. CA gave prepare cabin for arrival about 20

Minutes prior and that was the one and only time I left my jumpseat to recheck that the galley was

Secure. Before I could get back to my jumpseat, there was severe turbulence and I tried to sit down in place

And grab hold of the curtain. My left foot ankle went out from under me and I slammed down in front of the

2R door. I remained on the floor through landing. Just prior to landing FA1 came back when he was able and

Gave me an ice pack. He was able to return to his jumpseat for landing and I remained on the floor through landing.
