From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On augst 15,2023, at approximately 1650 EDT privacy data omitted, a 1946 Globe GC1-1B, landed at Bowman Field (lou), kentucy on runway 24 and was taxiing clear of the runway at taxiway A1, with directions to hold short of taxiway a. the pilot was unfamiliar with the holding lines at taxiway a and A1AND became confused with the markings so he slammed on his brakes to avoid entering the taxiway until he could get oriented just as a gust of wind came up from his tail. The pilot did not want to encroach so he did not ease off the brakes, which apparently caused a nose-over on the conventional gear aircraft, striking the prop on the taxiway surface. There were not injuries or property damage from this incident.
