From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC was coming in for a landing with his 2019 Buccaneer Biib amphibious amateur built privacy data omitted on the ochlockonee river in the vicinity of jack langston landing. PIC informed first responders that after the aircraft initially touched down on the water, it bounced and went approximately 10 feet up in the air. When the aircraft struck the surface a second time, the nose started to submerge, causing it to flip and break apart. At the time of the crash the PIC was carrying a passenger. The PIC had his student pilot and medical certificates revoked on 7/20/ 2001. No additional evidence of a valid/current pilot certificate was identified in the airman records.
